This national, non-profit organization trains dogs to assist people with various disabilities and then matches the right dog with the right person. If you know someone whose quality of life might be significantly improved by an assistance dog; by all means encourage them to apply here. The cost is very modest.

You can of course help this wonderful organization by making a donation. However, another way of helping them would be to raise a puppy!

Lastly, another reason why I mentioned this resource is because they frequently have job openings of different kinds. Getting paid to work with dogs … at a wonderful, non-profit organization that is making a difference … let's just say … that there are worse jobs …
