Big Brother For Dogs

Whether your dog is away from you in the field or has taken an unapproved tour of the neighborhood, you can use the devices made by Hear Now to keep track of him, to call him back, and to provide contact information about you, the owner.

The Hear Now’s multi-functioning pet collar products became available in 2006.The Hear Now is a collar and hand-held radio transmitter, providing interactive two-way voice communication. With The Hear Now, your pet can hear you from up to 12 miles away. The Hear Now tracking system consists of a mobile unit attached to the dog and a monitoring unit carried by the owner. The tracking unit displays a dog’s position on a map to aid in finding him. The system is based on a Global Positioning System technology.

There are six variations of the collar that offer different features, such as LED lights for night-time visibility, Bluetooth technology for wireless transmissions, and geo-fencing (restricting the movement of an object to within a specified area using telemetry in conjunction with GPS technology). The Hear Now also features a recorder that allows an owner to record contact information that can be played back in the event their pet becomes lost and found.  Even if no one finds the lost pet, the device’s GPS technology allows the owner to electronically track the animal within the 12 mile radius (allowing for some variation based on terrain and obstacles).

The Hear Now Inc. is based in Calgary, Alberta and specializes in high-tech, innovative pet products.
